How our Service Works:
Hearmore UK is an independent private hearing healthcare provider. We offer the best hearing aids at the most competitive pricing,
as well as unparalleled service.
Here’s what to expect from us as you go through the process:
Enjoy a more relaxed, supportive relationship at home with our audiologists — and a truly tailor-made professional home service.
The great advantage of home hearing tests is that you can try out different hearing aid models in your “natural environment”. Where you will use them the most. This will help you to determine much quicker the type of hearing solution you like best.
We can also help you to set up to the connectivity devices in your own home, making the whole process much smoother, quicker and convenient.
And with our premier aftercare service, you can trust our audiologists will always be there to help out.
If you decide to stick with us, we will go away and make your new hearing aids after your hearing test, which usually takes between 2-4 weeks, then deliver them to you and help you to fit them properly.
We’ll then schedule a follow-up call for a few weeks after, to see how you’re getting on and to answer any of your questions.
And of course, we’re always here if you need to speak to us for whatever reason.
We believe our service benefits everyone, but if you require a hearing test at home for elderly people, or cannot easily access a bricks-and-mortar hearing centre, then we’re confident you will love our at-home hearing tests.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you need a referral for an audiologist?
No. You can book an appointment with a hearing specialist without a referral from your doctor if you’re worried about your hearing.
When should I see an audiologist?
If you suspect you have some degree of hearing loss, no matter how mild, then you can opt to see a hearing specialist. Most people realise they have some form of hearing loss when they find it difficult to keep up with a conversation over the phone or in person, of if they suddenly find it harder to understand what’s being said on the TV.
Are all hearing tests the same?
No. There are many different types of hearing tests. Your audiologist will assess your hearing capability, and this may determine the type of test you are subjected to. All hearing tests are painless and non-invasive. A standard hearing test may include listening to tones and different pitches of sound at different volumes. In both a quiet setting and with background noises. But there are other tests, such as a tympanometry, that examines the eardrum and the middle ear muscles, and other tests for so-called “hidden” hearing loss.
Can a hearing test be wrong?
Professional “audiogram” hearing tests are rarely inaccurate. But sometimes they can fail to detect some impairments. If your audiologist suspects a false reading, then there are other checks and tests they can do to make sure. The tests you’ll receive at home are of the same standard and quality as you would receive in any health centre, carried out by equally qualified hearing experts.
What do hearing aids look like?
Modern hearing aids can vary greatly in shape, size and fitting. The best hearing aid is the one that works for you.
